I really like cooking, but if it’s the weekend I prefer to relax by preparing makeshift meals. I prefer to prepare simple preparations like salads and overnight oats for breakfast or for a weekend. Uncooked food is also healthier and more enjoyable to enjoy during casual times such as weekends.
One recipe for foods that don’t need to be cooked is overnight oats. Here I will explain and give step by step making overnight oats with peanut butter. Very easy for you to prepare, and it is really healthy for you.
Peanut Butter Overnight Oats Recipe
The recipe we provide is for one serving. If you make multiple servings then adjust the size and amount of ingredients you use.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of milk, I prefer to use almond milk
- One spoonful of peanut butter
- One tablespoon of maple syrup
- One teaspoon of Chia seeds, this is optional
- Mason jar with lid
How to make:
1. Enter the dry ingredients first into the mason jar
I find that to mix all the ingredients in a dish, it’s very easy to start with the dry ingredients first. If you have chia seeds, you can use them and here we make it optional because chia seeds are expensive. Chia seeds are great for health because they are rich in fiber.
2. Add wet ingredients
Before pouring the peanut butter, pour in the milk first. Then follow the peanut butter and maple syrup. Why pour the milk first so that later it won’t splash on the clothes. If you pour other than nuts first, it might be difficult to pour the milk. This is concerned only with ease.
3. Pastika oats completely immersed in milk
To make oats soft and tasty, they must be thoroughly submerged in the milk mixture. Press the oats on top with a spoon. Press the oats on top and sides, and make sure they are completely submerged.
4. Cover and place in the refrigerator overnight
The oats last a few days in the refrigerator, but for best results you should not want to leave the oats in the refrigerator too long. One or two days, try to eat all overnight oats.

5. Topping with fruit on top
Here you can innovate, for more delicious and beautiful results you can add your favorite fruit on top of overnight oats. We prefer to add berries, bananas, mangoes or apples.
6. Ready to pack
Now you can take it where you go. Close the jar again and save it if you don’t want to enjoy it right away. I often take it to my office or when I go to the garden. Really enjoy it when we enjoy peanut butter overnight oats.
